One rust powdered wheel

I have one front wheel that is perpetually covered in a fine redish powder. The truck doesn't pull in that direction, braking is even, as is pad wear. Any ideas?

BTW, it's a modular aluminum wheel.

4x4?
Sounds like a u joint.
Maybe wheel bearing or spindle bearing.

I wish it was 4x4, but it's not. The truck is nice and clean and we only have black clay. No red dirt. That curse was placed on the poor wretches north of us in Oklahoma.

I'm sure I will find out what it is sooner or later. Just hope it isn't on the side of the road.
