Old Fords resuceing new Chevys, appropiate!

Here are two of my brother's plow trucks. One is a "95 f250 psd with 260,000mi on the ticker, the other, an "86 F250 idi. I couldn't help but chuckle knowing that two ol' Fords were doing all the work, showing all the new Chevys how things get done.

Funny thing is, later that night, my brother was taking ol' green, the 86, back out for more work duty. I said "How come you are not taking the automatic PSD?" He said "'ol green will push the PSD backwards!!! Must be something about the granny 4 speed." I just laughed and thought, there's another idi proving itself against all the newer technology offered.

And no granny gear needed to push an automatic PSD backwards either. Between 25 MPH and 35 MPH I usually want to shoot myself, if I'm going uphill in the Excursion.

My brother is usually a huge automatic fan despite all of the lackings I see in them and he depends on his trucks and equipment for his income. For the most part, the newest thing you can afford is the hot ticket however, the ol' green defies his logic as being the oldest vehicle used on the road for his buisness, and it is a 4 speed to boot.

lmao.it doesn't take much effort to spin the tires on snow Brad.

im telling ya guys.looking at these pics doesn't do the trucks justice either.they will push that snow sooooo effortlessly,it feels like your not really doing anything....seriously.
problem with the dually and plowing though,if your going to try it with DRW,you need a good 1.5-2 ton on the back.this is finally enough to sink in and get her to move on the snow good.otherwise,use a SRW for plowing lol.the dually disperses the weight so good,that you just float and spin.all changes with some serious weight on her though.
