what fluid u runnin in your ZF with a SMF? if other please post up what.

i am going to put my SMF in this week and was going to do the trans fluid then also.

Original fluid and DMF with 377k miles

mobil 1 full syn gearbox oil. It looks and feels like 30 weight and says its 50w. 30k miles and countless tons hauled so far with no issues. It is overfilled (through shifter hole to full, let it puke what it doesnt like when warm. Warning doing it this way with a turbo will scare you badly when is starts rolling a gray cloud pulling a grade, I recommend leving it just above the gear teeth to keep this from happening.

I have the luk clutch and fly wheel. I just run and to the fill line. The only noise I hear is the 4x4 shifter needing rebushed. If I hold it I never hear noise. Maybe just got lucky with mine

whats the difference between normal and overfilling besides the obvious fluid level? Or, why would it be worth a difference?
