Ok, here is a poll to help me get the ideas running. The oil cooler went out on my 87, so do I Pull the 88 7.3 and drop it in? the cab on my 87 is ruff, do i swap cabs or just windsheilds? help me here guys.

We need more info. How bad is your current engine? Does it run good? How does that other engine run, as good as or better than the one in your daily driver? How bad is your cab, would the other cab be in better shape?

I would just say fix the oil cooler.

First of all pull the statement about swapping vins, I dont care if you do it, just pull that statement or you're going to get hammered for it.

Why would swapping vins catch such hell? I dont get why you would do it anyways, but whats so wrong with doing it?

I would just say fix the oil cooler.
My 6.9 runs great, the 7.3 starts ruff, I think it is a filter leak. My cab had cab lights that were removed and bondo-ed it leaks everywhere, cab corners are shot. it was up north most of its life? I'll try to get some pictures my camera is broke.

Well if thats the cause, and if your other cab is any better, then I say ya man, put that other cab on there as well. But that really doesnt have anything to do with the oil-cooler leak, so I would say fix that first.
