I ran the Bronco with 6 to 10 PSI hot at idle and 30 to 40 at highway speeds for years.

Where you are reading pressure varies. I've taken pressure from the stock sender location, and it'll be around 10 psi lower than when taken from the spot by the oil filter housing. I see 50-60 cold, and around 30 warm in mine generally, at idle.

I really wish gauge manufacturers gave an uncertainty. A good gauge might be +/- 2-3 psi, but cheaper ones are probably more like +/- 10 or even 20 psi.

i run a cheap autozone sunpro mech oil pressure gauge and my 6.9 shows 45- 50 psi cold and 20-25 warm and goes up from there when rev'ed
