Odd international engines on Ebay?

I realize that these engines are DI and therefor verboten for the true belivers on this board, but does anyone know anything about them? I'd love to find a smaller diesel engine for a mid size car or 1/2 ton truck project. Thanks

Once again, its one of those deals where the rest of the world gets them and we don't.
the 6cyl motor is the next gen up from what "aussiedave" has under the hood in his ford.

That 6 cyl looks real sweet. Wonder if one would fit in my '93 f350

Looks perfect for a Ranger/Explorer maybe even a lighter duty F-150. I think we have the right folks in office to maybe that could change. You might hear something positive tonight.

Wait folks, for 2007 you will get a chance to have one of these in the US since these are Navistar engines of South America. Therefore, you will have the 2.8 and 3.0 liter diesel engines and they will be called Maxxforce diesel engines for 2007 and beyond.
