Ok , the truck in my sig it has never impressed me, my 90 F-350 n/a would have kicked it's a$$:backoff it just doesn't have enough power like it should and it only gets 12 mpg as where my F-350 got 20mpg with 38's and 4.10 gears. With my foot shoved in it everywhere i went.

When i floor it my filter light comes on, but it has a new filter on it, i am gunna buy a carrier pump and put on it soon.

I do not have a boost or pyro gauge so i don't know what its getting for boost, but i think the timing is off and i think it might have a boost leak but i'm not sure. would the timing being off effect the mpg's and the power that much?:dunno

Oh and i have what seems to be an exhaust leak where my 3" down pipe meets the exhaust housing ,as my firewall is black from soot,i've been meaning to look into that for a few weeks but haven't got around to it yet. Any suggestions would be much appreciated:hail

Sounds like it's time for a fresh fuel system. With a fresh IP and new injectors, you won't know that you're driving the same truck.

But before you do anything, fix the boost leaks.

I just use good ol' dawn soap and water in a spray bottle. Clean all the areas that could be leaking, then spray em with soap and run the engine at various rpm's.

Forgot to mention that some boost leaks only show up at high psi's. As in only while you're under load or going up a hill, etc. I don't have any tricks on how to find those types

Fuel system, yes, and timing can make a big difference. When I was looking at trucks, and driving them, some would feel adequately powered and many others could barely get out of their own way.

At idle it should pull some vacuume so id think that either would find potential leaks.... and get a pyro and boost gauge first, you're kind of shooting in the dark otherwise....

Don't forget if your filter light is coming on, then your IP may be starved for fuel. This could retard your timing and be a contributor to your poor performance.

Pop a new fuel pimp on there. There only 20 bucks and will drfinitly cause low performance and no power when getting weak.

I pulled my Turbo this past weekend and have been thinking about putting it on. My babymoose pumpputs out so much fuel I actually can bog the motor till higher rpms. I'm curious to see how she does. I hope I don't blow a headgasket though lol.
