Hi all hope to find some answers on my 1993 7.3
Tack not working and no shift,-. Replaced the tack sending unit and had the computer rebuilt still not working.
What do i need to check?

Did buy the truck new in 1993.

Did you check the wiring to the sensor, it’s not unusual for the wire insulation to crack and short to each other or ground out.

Yes no loose or broken or corrosive.

This is a shot in the dark, mine wasn't working because the wire connectors were old and had separated so slightly.
Wiggled em closer and..tack
