Really though, if you keep it in good repair it will serve you a long time. You don't have to make it a show truck, just keep it in good running condition and it will be reliable. And as long as you don't beat it all up you should be able to make out good selling it when you decide you don't need/want it any longer.
The body on my truck is bent and beat up and the paint is peeling everywhere.
Right now I can't afford to fix it all. But I will do what I can piece by piece.
Towcat here on OB has a saying about Texas trucks.
"They are rode hard and put up wet" And he is right about the majority of trucks here in Texas.
Mine was treated like that, but now I have it and it is in better hands.

It sounds like your truck is showing you why most of us prefer them over the newer electronic stuff. Looks like with a more comfortable seat, your truck may keep growing on ya.
