Get ready here it comes. The new standards for on road diesel fuel are out. California is dropping to 15 ppm sulfer and all engines will have cats that will go into a burn cleaning mode that exceeds 500 deg. C. If you use no.1 diesel in the new 07's it will prematurely plug the cat and filter. The ash filter is designed to last 80k-120k miles before it needs cleaning, at which time a reminder light will come on, but there is no way to clean it. It has to be replaced at a cost of $2k.
