seemed like no one could give me answers

In all honesty if relacing a DMF with SMF buy a complete kit such as ones available on ebay..

Check with the search function there have been tons of threads here on this exact subject.

Just saying we cover this thoroughly regularly. Hence your description led me to my conclusion...

maybe get pics and part #'s of what you got for clutch and PP...

While at it always add a new TO bearing not a CHEAPNESE made one either and add a new Pilot bushing, the Kevlar ones are HIGHLY recomended!

Pics restored.

Pics uploaded. They can be found here:

Mods: if you want to update/replace the broken Webshots link in the "Changing a DMF to a SMF (The Lucky Mod)" article in the Tech section, I'm ok with that.

Ok, I have just done the DMF to SMF mod using the highest quality bottom of the barrel Vatozone parts.

My total came out to $325 for clutch/flywheel using commercial discounts.

I had to purchase 8 bolts for the clutch to flywheel, then had to make 9 bolts that hold flyhweel to crank.

All in all, it was $330 or so. Depending on where you get the flywheel is the length of bolts required.

Be sure to use thread sealant on the flywheel to crank bolts to keep oil from following the threads out of the crankcase.
