Need to talk to a moderator on here

I think i got the shaft on a part i bought from a fella on this board. I paid Jan 22 and still havent gotten anything. Have all private message correspondence saved, etc.

I just want to let someone in "charge" know whats going on. I will contact paypal this friday and file a claim against the person if i do not recieve the part or my money back.

Sorry to hear.

Maybe post in the hall of shame for the rest of us to learn. Good luck with paypal. I have heard of nothing but bad things about their service when people get ripped off.

FWIW, I had the same thing happen... only it was on ebay. ebay basically said "too bad", but paypal actually got my money back. I was VERY suprised. You just have to follow their dispute guidelines. It took about a month, but it worked.

I hate people like that!

Paypal gives your money back unconditionally. If you say it is fraud, they will give it to you no questions asked. As a seller on there I got ripped off by fraudulent customers many a time, as many of them figured out that once they had the item, they could contact paypal and get their money back, and Paypal wouldn't even consider my side of the story.

With one caviot. If it is within the 30 days. I paid for something made to order, and when I got it 3 months later, I wasn't happy with it. No recourse. They recently had to answer to a class action law suit about this very thing, because a regular credit card company would still work with you, where as they wouldn't.

Yeah, you gotta watch eBay and PayPal with any dealing's you do over them.
Bought a truck from a dealer in SC. He claimed the engine would run but it had a blown head gasket. Well after I got it home, (trailed it) it would not start no how, after tearing down, found the engine completely burned up, pistons cracked and bearings burn't up the oil in it was like tar, absolutely would not even drain out. Contacted eBay and PayPal, tough chit they said. Now a used car dealer in business for 15 yrs,sure as hell should know the condition of a vehicle he's selling.
