Check the headlight dimmer switch on the floor. When I had the truck the headlights would sometimes go off when I hit a bump, so I replaced the dimmer switch and the problem went away, that or you got a losse connection there.

Check and correct ground connection(s) at the rear of the truck.

So that dimmer switch would cause the rear lights not to work with the headlights on?

Not likely.

Check the wiring out back. I'd almost guarantee that someone has the wiring all hacked up with those stupid scotch lock wire taps.

Ya your right It would only affect the headlights. Check all your grounds. could it be the headlight switch?

It was a ground.
