That looks really good. ;Sweet Other than appearance, I've always wondered why more folks don't use PVC or ABS for intakes. It's far easier to work with than metal and is actually a pretty good insulator (way better than metal) to keep the cool air inside cool.

Notice any difference? EGT's? Turbo noise? More power?

Ooooh, nice job. I like the bend;Sweet I bet you got some more turbo whistle, eh.

How did you line them up and test fit? did you glue them?
I never can get them like i want them when i glue them?-cuss

Sweet Turbo Whistle on the Highway.

To Line them up I used a little dish washing soap, tweeked them, marked, cleaned then glued.

Thanks, Ron. I've been here and there....just been lurking in the shadows.

having worked with alot of pvc....
my only worry would be the hot/cold cycles would make pvc brittle. I'd worry about it shattering or cracking with any minor impact as it ages.
of course you would rebuild it every 3 years for like $15

Yep, too much heat/cold would lead to cracks when aluminum will outlast it, I wondered about using pvc a few times on other projects but the same fact always comes up.

ABS Plastic Schedule 40 Pipe has a wide temperature range -40 to 180 F. I also intend to wrap it with reflective insulation which will help maintain the temps.

Looks nice but why go to all that trouble and still pull air into the engine that has been heated by passing through the radiator. A air source that has not gone through the radiator will give you air that is cooler thus denser so will give more power and the cooler air will translate to lower EGT's.

My Hypermax hood mounted cool air intake system is said to reduce EGT by 200-300 degrees.
