I'm glad you-all enjoyed it! Sometimes only I enjoy my sense of humor,...
Just to be fair, it is about 55 deg in the shop,... I actually have started it up in 20deg without any aid, and it fired up, but it was a bit ornery!
i guess i can join in on the fun lol. this vid was taken back in early december. it was probly about 30 deg outside. sat all night in the garage with not block heater plugged in. was the first start of the day.

That thing cranked right off,..NICE!

did that even crank over one revolution before it fired?
That is how it fires up ALL the time, If it takes more than one turn, there is a prob.

Ouch.... That sure was some starter grinding workout wasn't it... Actually Darrin that was a nice start. What you showed others is the well taken care of starting system. Good batteries... Good clean connections and a starter that has not suffered many long cranking trys..
One thing that helps also is that the early Cummins only require a single Battery, I run Dual Red Top Oprimas,

Why did I have a feeling that Big Ed wouldn't be out there with snow all over it?
That was funny. I knew better then to think big ed would be sitting outside
Thanks guys,...correct, The last time this sat outside for any part of winter was 7 years ago, and it only happened 1 winter. That was before the makeover.
