Moose Pump installed!

The more I hear about the Moose pump and injectors I am thinking its something I should do down the road. Mine seems to be working fine at the moment though and I have been too scared to ask for a price range of what it will cost to go through mine. I am curious on injectors also what is the best route to go with.

"bb" code are best to go with stock wise, moose misters are best performance wise. Its all in how much you can spend or want to spend.

But if you had a moose pump you would want the moose misters right? Or would the bb code injectors work good with it also?

bb codes will work just fine with the moose pump but mms will be better. just depends on how deep your pockets are.

Mel has my pump for rebuilding "Moose" style. A set of injectors are on their way from Russ. Have the truck scheduled for the upgrades in November. I'll post up with feedback when I get the Moose pump on as well.

Most Moose pumps have been in the $600 range. I've had some as low as $575, and one as high as $1000, but it all depends on the condition of the core. I'd say at least 80% fall between 600 and 700. I have one right now that was just finished. It will cost him right around $590. However, the cam ring was shot. This is about a $250 part. Had it not been for the generosity of others on this board who have donated pump cores out of the kindness of their hearts, this individual would have been looking at an $840 pump. We had to dig through 3 cores to find one that was usable. So you can see the cost is heavily dependant on condition, and to some extent, luck.

Sounds pretty fair for the reviews on the pump. I have seen alot higher than that for stock rebuilt. Maybe next year my truck will sport a moose pump. I want to do a few other things at the same time to get the most out of it.
