Heath, we CAN Moosify the P pump, but my guy assures me that you can get a LOT more out of it by adjusting it, and that you should try that first. The expense involved in upgrading a multiplunger pump is not trivial.

Yup, I'm budgeting roughly$4000 just for the IP alone (that's what Schied and CDS are asking). That's not including injectors, injector hold-downs, or lines. I'm guessing 13mm or even 14mm plungers and pump cam changes may be needed. Injectors (I've found) seem to be more reasonable, like $125-200 each for 4-5 hole nozzles.
The pump's gotta be mod'ed to reach the HP I'm shooting for. The max I've heard on a stock P-pump is 550/600HP.
But, it would be cool to have a Moose IP and injectors on the DT466.

Now you just need to make sure that thing is timed properly.
I am going to see about getting it timed locally, or I may be making a road trip to see you Mel. It seems pretty close as it is. My old pump symptoms were occasional hard start, rough idle on start up and it seemed to surge and buck the truck slightly at certain rpms. After driving it today, I am thouroughly satisified. The truck feels 1000lbs lighter. I can tell fuel mileage is up, If I could only keep my foot out of it.

Makes 3 (or 4) of us!! My IP's not all that happy (it functions, but it's nowhere near optimal), so I'm just waiting to be in a position where I can afford one...maybe next summer? Hopefully I can get a set of Russ's injectors while I'm at it

I should have just gotten a moose pump and ran it NA for the 4 months untill I get the turbo on. Now I am stuck with the crappy pensocola pump.

The more I hear about the Moose pump and injectors I am thinking its something I should do down the road. Mine seems to be working fine at the moment though and I have been too scared to ask for a price range of what it will cost to go through mine. I am curious on injectors also what is the best route to go with.
