Air fliters???? Are you talking about the little air fresheners that look like a tree and hang from the rear view mirrors??? If so those are great... If you only open the plastic bag enough to let out just the top of the tree from the bag. Then move it more and more towards fully exposed till its done. Nobody could withstand opening up two of these in a car or truck...

I'm going to try the peppermint extract first, to see how that fairs. Hopefully it will drive them out. I put some traps in the engine compartment and in the cab, so far I have gotten 2 of the ********, both in the engine compartment ;Sweet.

Good news, I'm driving my parents truck. Talk about having some room in the cab ;Sweet

Havent gotten one this last day. I ended up getting 5 of the buggers. Hopefully that will be the last of them. I hate those fricking things so much  .

Looks like this weekend I will take out the heater blower motor, and take the compressor and blow into the vents in the cab to shoot out all the crap that way. Hopefully the nest isnt as bad as the last one.

For this to work, you have to pre-prepare and be really quiet and sneaky, but it will flat get rid of the mice, or any other living creature.

Close all windows, except leave one down enough to toss in a can, taping a heavy plastic flap to the top of the window that hangs over the gap.

Leave the truck alone all day and into the night.

Sneak in at night and toss a couple of those "bug-bombs" through the partially open window, making sure the plastic covers the hole.

If you were sneaky enough, you will get every last one of them at one time.

After ten hours or so, open all doors and air it out good.

Find ALL the corpses, unless you want to smell them later.:puke:

Put small pieces of Exlax, or the generic kind, under the seats. They'll eat it and die. I've used it many times (only took once at each house) and it works everytime.

Might I suggest copius amounts of poison? I mean that stuff is wonderfull....

Sounds like you'll be taking the dash and HVAC assembly apart. I did see some foaming agent that is supposed to fill the HVAC and then clean it out of **** smell among others.

I'll see if I can find it.

So far sticky traps, and poison are the best bet

I got them all out, I should be good there. I'm just going to take the heater blower motor out, put the shop vac tube in there, turn it on, go in the cab and blow into the vents with compressed air. It should force most of that out. Then I'll put something good smelling in the there to smell good for a while.
