6 years ago the rear plug at the filter head costs me nearly $300.00 to have done. And I supplied the plug and the coolant. I had my engine out for the next set replacement and I used some JB weld as a tack weld in three places around the plugs. these concave plugs are a horrible item to install properly. You can't tell if they are in good and tight... till you drill a hole in them and pull them out... Whats with that.

I am going to catch hell for this but I have always used the 2 hammer method. BUT. When I found out they were stainless I never took out another set.
After owning many old dodges with concave plugs you get real good at the hammer method. Oh and I have a certain hammer for this and it gets hidden when done.

I am quite certain that if you do it enough you develop a knack for it. I just figured a shop would have the tool to do it. I have never done a concave freeze plug before so I want the tool to eliminate any variable.
