I've got half a mind to just snip the wire and be done with it. The fuel heater doesn't really do much so it wouldn't be missed, I just like keeping everything as the factory intended.

I had to detour (again) because one of the new stainless fasteners cross-threaded itself on removal (I just can't make this stuff up). But the truck is started and running now, and it definitely likes the new cables. The air leak isn't so bad that it's bubbling while running or leaking everywhere, so i'm just gonna put the new cowl seal on and call today a draw. Not really in the mood to fight more simple crap today

That fuel heater connector can be a real pain to get off. See if you can get a small screw driver under it and pry it up while pulling on it.

Sometimes, the most trivial stuff tends to eat up the most time. For me, it's looking for tools that I just used!

Use a heat gun to get it maluable the pry it off with a small pry bar

You are using anti-seize on that stainless right? Stainless has a strong tendency to gall if you don't.

I didn't know that, I'll get some anti-seize on there tomorrow.
