Luminosity Type Timing Meter Buy

If anyone on this forum wants to time their engine by the luminosity type method I'm thinking this meter will handle all your needs. I choose not to use this type because it requires a glow plug to be removed and the lumi probe installed there... I wont be bidding on this. I have sold the lumi probes for $125.00 to some members on this forum because they are no longer made by snapon nor are they found very often on ebay...

too bad there's no returns accepted.however if you have a meter already and need parts this could be worth a few bucks requardless.

MT 163 luminosity probe, NEW (Peugeot and M-B engines)
MT 161 luminosity probe (Chevy 6.2 liter engines)
MT 160 luminosity probe (Oldsmobile 5.7 and 4.3 liter engines)
N8677 magnetic pick-up adapter (Volkswagen, Audi)
N8610 luminosity probe (VW, Audi and BMW)
MT 150 glow plug hole cleaner




MT 160 luminosity probe (Oldsmobile 5.7 and 4.3 liter engines) = 6.9l and 7.3l idi too. that's your gal.

you also need to know your cetane of fuel though too,otherwise your timing semi blind via this method.so to do it right,you need one of these (for example) :

don't bother with the older luminosity meters unless your feeling nostalgic.
i personally love it,but most would rather the pulse method im sure.
