Looking for pics/specs on the gale banks 6.9 pulling truck

Can any of you guys post a pic or specs of the famous gale banks 6.9 in the late 60's ford that started as a pulling truck? Ive been searching but cant seem to find a pic anymore. Ive also been told there is a video of it somewhere?

Thanks, the story i heard about it was completley different in most ways. Any info on what ever happened to this truck or engine?

Did some more reading and it seems the truck is in joliet il, which isnt too far from me. I would like to go see it

I just skipped through all the bs and read the posts related to the old ford, did more searching and have found some extremely useful posts about this truck on here and other sites aswell.

Hard to believe it could be done. I'm sure not gonna argue though. I just think of the old saying "speed costs money. How fast do you wanna go?"

I agree with that completely. I would like to know what pump was feeding this beast along with many other questions. Im not looking to build my idi as crazy as this one but i would like to get away from the db2 pump, it seems that whenever someone is building a nasty idi the pump is what limits them for the most part.

It was an inline pump of some sort, definatly not a DB2.

It was the hypermax inline pump they still have them! Give em a call an open your wallet up about 8g's wide an you will have enough fuel to make your heart sick.

an inline p pump would really wake up one of these old idis but i cant justify the cost maybe someday ill find one used and rebuild or have ti rebuilt but the adaption would be the easy part

Would super mister's support a p pump? Or would there have to be a custom set of injectors made with a insane pop pressure? I know 8k sounds like a lot for a pump but when im going to have the same amount in my axles on this rig it doesnt seem so bad.

Moose misters are exactly what I would use with high pop pressure no one has used them with enough fuel to see the out come or benefit from them (power wise) at least by dyno. I think there made perfect there edm'd an made with quality.
