hey everyone,
I finally found a fuel leak on my truck. It looks like the fitting under the flare nut on the fuel ine that the return lines go into is leaking between the flair nut and the fitting.
Does this fitting have a replacable seal to keep the fuel from leaking arounf the flair nut?
Thanks
Fletcher

It sounds like the olive.

I think typ4 has them for a screamin deal.

Sounds like your talking about an olive seal. But I can't figure out what line you are talking about so... This is where these seals are and the size of them. The 3/8 inch line from the mechanical lift pump to the filter inlet has one 3/8 olive at the filter. Then the feed line from the filter to the injection pump is a 5/16 inch line. It has an olive on both ends of it. Typ4 does sell them at a killer deal too.

Thanks. The line I am talking about goes to the front injector on the drivers side. There is a metal formed line going to the top of what I think is an injector and below the fitting nut, there is a round piece that has a hose going into it and then a hose coming out of it going to the front area of the IP pump. The round piece swivels and it is leaking right below the fitting nut.
I hope this helps some. Would a place like NAPA have these seals?

Now what your poating about sounds like a return cap on the injectors. Those are plastic and under them are two o-rings. This is completely differant from an olive. Buy the return line kit from typ4. It will have the o-rings, caps, hose and olives in it. He sells the best kit you can find anywhere too. Very fair price and lots of advice given freely. Make sure the area to be worked on is clean. All you need is a 5/8 inch wrench to remove the injector lines from the injector. Then lift off the caps with the lines still connected to the other injectors. Use this removed cap and rubber hose as a model to make up the new stuff. Use a dental pick to remove the old o-rings and install the new ones. Place the top ring in the top groove. Then roll the lower ring into the lower groove.
