my 97 f350 seem to be lacking in the power department. it struggles to pull 7000 pounds at highway speeds 60-65 mph. turbo holds about 5psi of boost at this speed. engine rpm is about 2300. truck is bone stock except for the tymar intake. fuel filter changed every 3000 along with oil. fuel pressure is around 45psi at idle. any ideas what to look for? any help would be appreciated.:dunno

5 lbs of boost cookoo

45 psi seems a bit low...they like to run around 65 psi

have you checked the fuel return screen at the regulator?

I have 4.10's and at 80 mph I'm at 2850 turns

cleaned the screen about 1000 miles ago. fuel pump has about 30,000mi. how much boost should you have? keep in mind this truck is all original. injectors and turbo.

60-65mph pulling a load I will hold about 7-8 psi going up hill it will be 10-12 psi with 4.10 gears. Sounds like your running out of fuel but with 230k miles it could be a host of problems Injectors, injector O-rings, exhaust leaks, boost leaks I had pretty much the same problem with my 96 changed the fuel pump and it made a big difference
