KILLER DOWEL PIN 96 OK OR SCREWED

[12 valve owner]

This guy I met at the local diesel performace shop in Alaska was telling me about the killer dowel pin, he had a 94' cummins and his fell out damaging parts and he had to fixing it all weekend. He told me that my 96 motor was ok they fixed the problem after 94. I have a month off work so time to play with my diesel my plan was to bring it in my shop sometime this week and fix it with the repair kit. He tells me not to worry about dont waste my time I trust your guys input more,you guys have yet to give me bad info, so if you know that will be very much appreciated. Ed Wasilla AK

94 thru 98 is the worst on the KDP......................dont hesitate to get this tabbed.....................if its not comming out than thats cool but by chance if it is or does come out you wil be kicking yerself real real hard

yeah the 12 valves need to be tabbed or use the jig.

There are two different methods to cure it.
Read about both of them. Either will work. Just do it.

And get some gauges while you're at it.
