Does anyone here know where the kickpanel vents on the 80-82 trucks vented air from and what changes did the factory do to remove them?

The air comes in from the panel with all the little holes that covers the wiper linkage and holds the windshield washer squirters.

The cowl. Our '95 trucks have A/C and no such vents. They just put some plates over those openings behind the trim panel. Evidently it makes for a very cozy place for mice to set up housekeeping.

Easy to swap them in. Find kick panels with vents and just remove the block off plate held in with 4 bolts. Seems most factory AC trucks didn't have them. Also you'll want to clean this area out behind the vent or blockoff plate every now and again.

Thanks guys, I wasn't sure if they entered through the cowl, or if there was some mystery vent inside the rear of the wheel-well. :dunno
