Just picked up a new crew cab.

One draw back, it's a Chevy. Never owned a Chevy diesel before but the price was right. I am picking it up at 12:30 today. It is a 1988 K30 6.2 No turbo of course. Tried to buy a crew cab F350 in L.A last week, and the guiy flaked out on me. It's not replacing my 92' that's for sure, but it might make a good ranch truck. Not sure what I will do with it yet.

I dont think Ive ever seen a crewcab chebby of that year that wasnt a dually. Now all ya need to do is swap in a 6.9 and ur ready to go.

I think if I were to do anything I would turbo it. Doing engine swaps is sooooo much work. I drove it yesterday, and with the 4.10 gears it feels torky. I'm not gonna win and drag races, but it is not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I have never seen one of these crew cab non dually 4x4's either, let alone a diesel. I was very surprised to find it on craigslist, so I jumped on it quick. I am still out in the central valley, and will have it home later today. Tool box is junk, that's going in the trash first. Paint is original, and a little worn, but not bad. Interior is OK to. Back seat has been swapped to the front so the back needs a redo. Overall I am happy with it, but dont get me wrong, it's no F350. I only bought it for the odd factor, never seeing these trucks around here.
