got my tach the other day and im wondering if i can hook it up using a factory sender instead of using the glue on magnet system? the hookup kit has 2 mags that go on the harmonic, so for this to work off the timing gear it would need 4 magetic inserts in the timing gear is this what they have?

Not likely. The key to any tachometer is to have a known number of pulses per revolution. The factory tach pulses on every gear tooth, which would present far too many pulses for your aftermarket tach, even if you were able to overcome any impedance mis-match.

Actually...I recall someone on TDS saying that it was possible. IIRC he worked at Isspro. Unfortunately, he wasn't a regular member, and when I asked for details, I never got a response that I saw.

So, it might be worth contacting Isspro...there MAY be hope...
