Today while I was online here I thought I heard something at the door. Not being too interested in "talking" with anyone (cause I was on this site) I let it go. So its about time I see whats going on in the outside world and there sitting on the deck is a box from Isspro....
Everything is as ordered so now I have something to do for a day. Actually I have both drivers side door panels off. I found a pick-n-pull yesterday that had several trucks. They were from 85, 86, 87, 88, 89 but nothing newer that I saw. They were all diesels too. One had a turbo but its gone now. I got both front door inside weather strips for $5.99. Also 2 door lock motors for $5.99 and my pockets were filled with window lock and window switches... I needed some under the hood plastic screws that hold that black valance to the core support so I liberated several of them. Boy-o-boy are those door lock motors hard to get out of there. I didn't have a hammer and chiesel so things got difficult really fasy. The interiors were ok but nothing I really wanted. Now I need to go back and get some of the tiny single bearings and snap rings that hold the door lock rods to the motors. Seems like there are 3 very small bearings that keep the motor engaged to the rods, then a collar goes over them and a snap ring speed washer looking gadget snaps inplace so it wont slide up the rod.... Another Ford only idea thats for sure...
