On a 7.3, less likely than on a 6.9. But, if you have a marginal headgasket, the extra cylinder pressure could push it over the edge. Honestly, I'd put it on and run it without worrying. With a 6.9, however, I'd replace the gaskets and stud the heads as insurance.

my truck was used hard before I got it, and at 200k I turboed it. I have beat on it pretty good with no sign of gasket problems.

I think you are good man. Unless you push it much higher then 7psi. If you go higher, I would recommend refreshing the gasket. Just my $.02...

I put the same kit on mine and run mine hard. I only get 7psi with the wastegate hooked up. I
Hit 13 without it. No idea on how many miles on the motor but the heads look like they've never been off since 85 lol. I cruise down the highwaay at 80 pulling a trailer with monster tires holding 13it psi quite frequently. I guess I just want to see how long it will go lol. So far its been a year with the Turbo and 3 years since the motor swap into my truck and it fires up easy every morning and has no problem generally keeping up with traffic once moving.

But I do plan to swap my sidewinder kit on soon to see the difference. The factory kit sucks till the rpms are up. Causes the motor to lug a lot off the line.
