Hey all. I've been going over my '87 6.9 fixing leaks being I can't get the damn thing registered or insured being everything is closed. I resealed the oil cooler which took care of the drivers side. Then I had to replace the lift pump which was somehow leaking. After replacing the lift pump I had no leaks up front. Then I noticed the valley pan was a little wet from fuel. Now this is a newer pump, so it shouldn't leak. But sure enough I found a small leak, just enough to annoy the hell out of you. I'm not that good with the pump part names, but I think it's the governor rod stud. If I'm wrong, let me know. It's coming from where the allen bolt goes into the nut. All the paint is sill on the nuts, so nothing has been messed with. Is there a seal inside, can I tighten it up, or what? any help would be appreciated. It's not bad, just making a mess. You can see the pan

Use a 1/2” wrench and tighten the nut, not the screw and see if it fixes the leak. If not, I have replacement seals if you want to replace it.
