Well my wife's truck is in the shop for typical GM related issues (airbag light, TC light ABS light etc. No codes). She's been driving my 06' and I've been driving the 93. Last night we got up hay with the 93' and it was alot of hay. over 200 bales which I had unfortunately packed a little tight so they were heavy. (80 lbs each)Truck did fine last night no issues. Tranny temps stayed below 210*
This morning I got the flashing OD light and my speedo was inoperable. Truck was definitely in limp mode and my first thought was E4ODOA. But then I thought about the speedo issue and perhaps the trans computer was confused by a lack of data. I checked the speedo fuse and it was blown. So I replaced it with a new one and when I drove the truck it acted fine. No flashing OD button and normal shifts.
Could the lack of a speed reference throw the tranny into limp mode?
Next issue. Truck starts instantly and idles great. No smoke or weird smells. But after it's warm on the highway it pours blue smoke to the point of embarrasment. This just started. I am thinking the CDR is not working and crankcase pressure is causing the oil leaking, burning, seeping issue.
Appreciate your input on these issues.
