Is it recommended to paint the exposed portion of the injector body? I swapped mine out in January, used anti-seize on the threads but left the rest bare. Anyone have a reason to do more than that?
Personally I like to place plastic caps on any exposed threads while installing. Likely your injectors have some sort of protector already on them, but if not I would advise something to cover the threads for the injector lines. And it never hurts to cover the holes you're not installing injectors in, because things always seem to fall.
Finally, if you have the lines loose, now is a fantastic time to test your glowplugs and make sure those are all in working order.
