Return line caps started leaking on the pickup today....one is seeping and the other cap is leaking pretty good...not pouring out, but it has a leak that is more considerable than a seep.

I found this kit on E-Bay, and I was wondering what you guys thought about it. I would assume that because my truck is a 1993, I would have the later style Tee's that are shown in the picture. I am going outside to do the push button glow plus mod in a while and I will double check for myself.

The caps that are in my truck currently are painted grey along with the injectors. I think this means that they are the originals. With 235 000 miles on her, I am thinking that I should replace them as well, and maybe get a new pump as money permits later on this fall. I do not know if the pump has ever been replaced or if it is still the original.

Thanks again for all the input 'Burners.

I would also imagine yours is the late style. That seems like a pretty fair price but the shipping is a bit steep. I ship a lot of stuff and that kit should cost $8 or less to ship about anywhere in the U.S., so you might as well figure that you are really paying about $35 for the kit. Somehow my truck is still running with the original caps, the only thing that was changed on mine was the hoses in-between the caps. When I had the engine apart I was very careful not to move them around anymore than necessary because I didn't want to mess with a good thing.

Edit: I just remembered where you were and maybe it would cost that much to ship to you, I sent a set of spark plugs, cap, rotary button, and points to a customer in your area and shipping was almost $25, the whole stinking bunch of parts only cost $24. I could have shipped that within the US for about $5. And that price was even being shipped from within Canada. I keep wanting to say that parts where shipped from a warehouse in Moosejaw? to a place only 50 miles away, but that doesn't sound right, who knows?

If you can beat the quality of that other kit, for a couple more dollars consider a kit sold! pm sent

Anyone know where to get a good price on the hard injection lines?
Can these be made with the proper tools using the flare nuts on the existing lines?
What code injectors should I be running?
I do have the factory injectors in the truck, are they stamped anywheres?

typ4 can sell you injectors too at a great deal. you should not need to replace the hard lines unless they are leaking or rusty.

mine are getting pitted with rust...I would imagine that one is going to break when I back the nut off.....I hope I don't have to replace them at the same time....money is tight...

russ sells the Diapco kit. it's the best.
also, if you pm "suv7734" he can give you suggestions on how to beat the cross border tariffs. he's a good guy to shoot the **** with irregardless.
you cannot make your own hard lines.
different coded injectors are used for emissions reasons. until somebody can some up with hard proof that one is better, I am sticking to that belief.
