My '86 has been solid reliable for the last 1.5 years since I bought it. So aside from regular maintenance it hasn't been fooled with. (By me anyway)
The other morning it did the run for a second then die trick, so i knew from reading on here that its probably a return line leak; the kit has been ordered plus I just steam cleaned the fuel pump area and bought a block off plate to go with my new carrier electric pump I received last week. (Thanks Gen)
Aside from all that I noticed that the throttle did not return all the way- it sits a good 3/8" above the cold idle solenoid rod even when the rod is extended. I must now state that this truck has never had a high (cold) idle- I just assumed it did not work. Now I can see that it couldn't possibly work.
Truck runs great. Will push 12-13 lbs of boost, but I seldom go over 6-7 psi. I am getting good gas mileage.
Can anybody explain this IP throttle being so far out of whack? Can post some pictures if it helps.

Its hard to believe that the truck didn't give me issues waaaay before now. You know its a good truck when it waits until the subzero temps are gone to give you trouble!!
