I've always had a problem with putting something called "Royal Purple" in any of my engines.

that being said---(i hate to reveal my age)--many years ago i used royal purple in my ford fairlane. it stopped using oil, lifters shut up, and ran much better. but i dont know if this is the same company--

Nothing is the same anymore, except for Amsoil, they get better all the time. Everybody buying up everybody, you don't know who's doing what.

I've used RP and found it to be a good product. Switched to Amsoil in 1998 and found it to be a great oil. Switched to Lubrication Engineers oil, 15 40 in my Cummins and found it to be the at good or better than any oil for it's price.
