In dash AC unit from gas engine

Will the in dash AC unit(below the radio) from 84 f350 custom gas engine work with a Diesel engine. Like just hook everything up pretty easy

Yes it is exactly the same. We had to swap all that stuff from an 86 in the junk yard to my dads 85.

Ive got a 1992 f250 and I was curious to wether the AC controls are linkage or electric. Personally I hate linkage ones they are a pain.

temp control is linkage.., positions is vacuum

Ok cool so the 86 was a gas engine?
Also how hard was it to remove/replace?

It was a pain in the ass big time.

Did you have any trouble hooking up the dual tank selectors.?
Oh and did it pretty much just plug into the connectors on the diesel?

Yes everything plugged into the diesel truck. I cant recall what exactly we had trouble with. I just remember it was a pain in the ass.
