I want to deactivate my GP controller.

I would like to install a kill switch to my controller on my 93. I plan on changing the plugs again as they seem to have gotten weak. I just installed a new controller but I want to put a switch in line mounted in the cab so I can turn it off. I want to prevent the plugs from cycling when the motor is already warm. It seems like a waste to run them every time you start the truck. Is there one wire to the controller I can tap a switch into? My goal is to be able to turn the switch on, turn the key and the let the controller cycle the plugs. Then I can flip the switch off until the next time I need to cold start the motor.

the white wire on the relay small terminal is what you want to reroute through the switch so cut the white wire and put a switch inbetween

be careful not to put +12v to the white wire. it is a ground and completes the solenoid to activate it. If you put +12v to the white wire it will burn up the controller.

I get teh wait to start light even if tis warm. I installed a switch so i dont have to use the GPs in the warm summer months here in Alabama.

I have an LED in my dash hooked to the power side that goes to the plugs so I know exactly when they are getting power and it comes on every time the key is turned. Even when warm, they still run longer than the WTS light is on.

White wire, thanks. I'm just gonna extend it into the cab with a switch in line. Dont plan on putting any power to it.

on my controller the white wire isnt hooked up anymore, i just wrapped it in tape and ran a wire from the small post into the cab on a momentary switch and that to a grounding place and when the switch is flipped the gp's turn on, and i have the black wire coming out of the controller grounded to the back of the intake
