It was hard to start when when the engine was hot the other night. It wouldn't start the following morning. Not even a puff of smoke.

Replacing the fuel filter didn't help. Cracked an injector line, cranked it over, got nothing.

Pump solenoid is clicking.
Pressure at the Schrader valve was 4 lbs as it always was. Lift pump pressure is 4lbs after the filter. I installed a different housing and a much larger filter yesterday. Nothing changed.

I accidentally filled the rear tank with dirty hydraulic oil. I pump nearly all of it out, then filled with 80% WMO/20% kerosene.
I noticed it was hard to start after switching tanks.

I'm going to dissect the filter shortly.

Looks like I am the victim of a Wix's fuel filter failure. I didn't notice it before, but I can hear the filter cartridge inside shaking back and forth. There was dirt inside the filter and outside in the metal liner.

Oh,well. I'll have to drain the tank, clean out the fuel and injector lines, and be more careful in the future.

I wonder where I put my Moose pump and bb code injectors from last years rally? :sly

Really not funny but, :rotflmao :rotflmao

I wouldn't change the IP just yet. Get rid of the crap, then see if you've got fuel at the injectors. No start, then the injectors may be plugged.

There's no fuel at the injector cap.

I've already pulled the injectors. Time to let the sweat evaporate and drink some Gatorade :D

Just don't drink the cool aid.... Yes.. It does sound like your filter failed because it got plugged and then it bypassed and ruined your pump and injectors. Make sure you blow out all the injector lines and the filter to injectino pump line of that dirty fuel. Even if it blows out clean its really full of dirt that is very hard to see.

I was wanting to replace the pump and injectors for the year. Just haven't gotten around to it.

The old pump is out. It has 3/16" play in the shaft and rotates 1/16". I think it was due. It was a reman from International Fuel Systems. It is most likely at least 100k miles old.
