hydroboost conversion

Does anyone on here have or know where i could find a diagrahm on how to convert to hydroboost. It sounds pretty easy and all but a picture is worth a thousand words. Thanks

You will be very pleased with the results Funny thing is, if you get a good deal on the parts a hydroboost conversion really don't cost much more than a direct replacement of old parts with factory-specs new units, and actually makes for a pretty quick and painless job - unless you manage to drop the hydroboost on your bare toes, that is, and don't ask me how I know how that feels, lol.

i have a new found respect for you on that experience.
takes a real man to admit that one in a forum.
but not as good as the herculiner guy.......

Not only that, but that's one hell of a shade tree mechanic who works around his vehicle in his bare feet or flip flops. I'd get about 5 feet in my shop, and have a cut on my foot if I did that.

I can't speak for crocodile hide, but alligator skin makes for a weak boot.

Stick with good old cow-hide.

Mel, you need to clean up your shop man There ain't nothing here that you can cut yourself on unless you run around entirely barefoot, besides I spent way too much time in the shop to wear closed shoes of any kind - my feet will only tolerate cowboy boots, but those are anything but comfortable for climbing in and out of engine bays. In all honesty rust in my eyes is a whole lot more clear and present danger than anything that could potentially hurt my feet. Anyhow...

sorry for a kinda dumb question here but what does hydroboost do. I know it uses the higher pressure instead of the vaccume set up and helps you stop better. Does it just make the brake pedal more sensitive or what exactly? I would think you just press harder on the pedal to stop I know stock I can lock up my brakes fairly easy even with the rabs.

Ummm worked in my shop more that enough time with em on till I took a falling part to the bridge of my foot when I was restoring Goldie.
They still have some gray primer sealer on em for proof.
