Hood Latch Adjustment...to Lower the Front of The Hood?

He people,
the front of my hood is about 1/4 too high...when the Hood is locked-down I can push the front of the hood down further and where it needs to be to make the Fender and forward Hood edges match up.

However...when I loosened the two L & R Latch bolts the latch mechanism won't drop any further but it will move up.
Is there some other adjustment I don't know about?
I did a 'search' but didn't find anything.

If you absolutely had to, you could slot out the holes in in your latch to make it go a little lower.

Are you sure that the hood is latching 2 times?
As you press down on it, it should latch loosely first(which just takes the under-hood lever to pop back up), and then tightly the second time(which requires the cable in the cab to open).

Make sure it's not too low already, and simply never latching to the second position.

Yes, it does first latch at upper position (in the spot where you would normally reach under the Hood to move the Lever to unlock it) then it'll click down to the lower-down position. But I can then push the Hood down about 1/4" (and spring back up) and that is where it needs to be to match-up with the Fenders edges.

So, those two L & R bolts on the Latch mechanism are the only Two adjustments for up/down, left/right?

Sounds about right.
Also the hood "bumpers" on each side may need adjustment.

While this is a topic, I assume can't get the stock cardboard like fender spacers. Just replace with a normal fender washer?

Sounds about right.
Also the hood "bumpers" on each side may need adjustment.

Well that there has been a problem...being the two front Cap mounts rotted away I had to shim the doors back, as the front Gaps got tight and almost touched the Fender.

So the fenders will adjust relative to the core support. To get it to all line up, really you have to start with the doors. Once the door gaps are even, align the fender lines to the door lines and set the gap even top to bottom. The last thing is adjusting the hood stops to set the height. Once it all lines up, adjust the hood latch. With the mounts rotted out, all bets are off. You may need to shim the core support up or down a little to get enough adjustment for the fenders and the latch.

wELL, BEING THE THE TWO FRONT cAB MOUNTS ARE ROTTED

Well, being the the two front Cab mounts are rotted away there is no adjusting the fender to door gaps as they were pinching at the top of the doors (where the top hinge area is) thus why I shipped the doors back with fender washers.
The Radiator support is hanging on by a thread..also rotted.
I was just hoping to lower the front of the Hood some and a simply way and though; being it appears the 'hood latch' is the high point I could just lower that some guess not.
