Hit a pothole and fire

I hit a pothole today and my radio started glitching out then my cab filled with smoke and melted the ground wires on both sides of the block parking brake bracket is hot to the touch when battery is connected also lost brakes

Somewhere you have a hot short to ground. There's very few wires that aren't fused. Battery to battery, then battery to starter. I'm willing to bet it is battery to starter somewhere...

Damn! I thought Michigan was the king of potholes.

I think that most of the states that get cold in the wintertime are bad for potholes. The state budgets don't seem to go for much highway upkeep anymore. Oh sure, Kansas seems like it's always fixing the interstate between Topeka and Kansas City, but it's every year. How do they explain that?

Isn't there an always hot wire to a brake pressure switch (cruise control) in that area? Ford sent me dozens of recall notices years ago. That arrangement caused a number of fires back in the day. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2007/RCRIT-07V336-5008.pdf
My cruise control quit prior to that so I just cut the wire.
