i live in nj
i was wandering about a truck he wants 2000
1989 f250 7.3 idi extended cab 4x4 power everthing
2 owners all papers
65-75000 on the motor
new glow plugs,gas tanks,sending lines,brake lines,injectors
bad both extended cab rockers are rusted,rear driver side shackle really rusty,bad front drive shaft u joint,and doesn't start good the first time,and i have to fix the bed on pass side as well the door

btw the window sticker sais new was 22,900

Hi Joe welcome to oilburners.

I'm concerned with the hard starting. If he put new glow plugs in and they are working correctly, it should fire right up. Especially this time of year.

If it does run good and the 4x4 works, 2 grand doesn't sound too bad. If you aren't in a hurry, though you can probably find something nicer for the same money.

thanxs i am i have a 2wd f150 1989 and hauling a 18 ft car hauler threw nj and pa isnt good for the i6 and 5 sp

whats the fun if i don't tinker with it ive shopped around tonight found a dodge but i only like fords. cumins is great tho

yea, it is possible check for leaks on top of the engine it might have a leakey inj. return line. and WELCOME ABOARD!!

i would like 4x4 and 5spd ill try to talk him down to 1800
were should i look 4 rust and other problems?

Got air?

Bypass the water separator.
I couldn't stop the flow of air in, after the 1st time "I pulled the pin"
Or block the exit tube, under the driverside door, forward. might work.
Air seems to be a big problem for some.

OT, sounds like a good deal IMO

Bypassing it is an OK idea. Going without water filtration is not.
