Hi,
I'm a first time poster, long time reader, and life long lover of mechanically injected diesels.
About a year ago I bought an '85 F450 flatbed. To make a long story short, it was not a wise purchase: the engine has numerous problems, some of them quite serious. Oh well, caveat emptor.
I had intended to either rebuild the engine or, more likely, replace it with a used one in better condition; however, my circumstances have changed and the flatbed is no longer very practical so I've decided to try to sell it and cut my losses.
I'm currently looking to buy another IDI, and I have located several candidates, but I'm afraid of making the same sort of mistake as last time. Does anyone have any advice for me?
