lol, I think i see plug wires n a distributor. oh and the tach redlines at 5500. Ifn that is a diesel that redlines at 5500 RPM, im buyin it!

For the record, this has actually been done...not in a Windstar (and that Windstar certainly has a g@$$er), but there are small European automotive diesels that'll rev that high. My M-B 300D hits the governor in the 5000 RPM range (although I've never gotten it above 4500 in gear), and cruises at 3000 RPM...which with this engine is right in the middle of the power band.

I was surprised to find this out too...apparently, low-revving diesels are an American thing (at least on smaller engines; I'm sure that large European diesels also rev lower)...

HMMM intersting, I happen to have a relative with a M-B Turbo diesel just sittin. HMMMM...... :Sly I wonder what kind mod I can do that puppie, n just what it sounds like with straight pipe?? lol
