HELP????

need help,, mighta run out of fuel with 2001 7.3,,vehicle has a transfer pump with a controller that is located under steering columm,,,well it seemed to slow down then finally not want to go,,,just barely running,,well shut it off and thinking it might be running out of fuel went and put 5 gallons in both tanks,,,well it wont start now,,,sooo question is how do i get this vehicle to start if it did run out ,,,have a 91 IDI and that is easy to get going when it runs out but this 2001 is a different cat,,also any suggestions if it isnt outa fuel,,,

Cycle the key on and off several times, let the electric fuel pump charge the filter canister. You can pull the lid off the filter canister to see if it is purged full, if it is, she should fire.
