help with low\no oil pressure!

Had the same kind of problem. Left the factory setup and put a tee in the metal line/pipe and put in gauge had from before.
It was a digital gauge with the big sending unit on the engine.
After I had this installed I could watch the digital readout and watch the stock gauge.
I wanted to leave the stock gauge because I was used to watching how it reacted while I was driving my normal route.

I learned a (hard earned) lesson with low oil pressure years ago on my 2.9L Ranger. Saw fluctuating pressure on the stock needle and panicked. Bought a new oil pump, took a day to install but I did a really nice job. Starter her up and same problem. Bad sensor. Another $15 and it was fixed with my metric adjustable wrench. :mad:

ok hot oil pressure is 14 psi @idle and 40psi@2500 rpm. whats it sposed to be?
