I hate it when people don't update their threads with the resolution so I am here to give an update. I ended up getting a new return line kit from typ4, and finally had time to install it the other day. I am pleased to announce that after that I have started it several times over several days and have not had any leaks. The Dipaco kit that I got from typ4 was much better quality than the one I got off ebay. The lines were already cracking and swelling on the ebay kit and the braided sheath was a joke. As part of this whole endeavor I also plugged the fuel restriction sensor port because it was leaking, installed a newer generation fuel heater in my filter head because the old one was leaking, and replaced all the rubber olives in the fuel hard lines. So I guess it was just a combination of a crappy kit and age/sitting. If things start to leak again when I start driving it heavily I'll be sure to post an update.
