When I push my clutch in the firewall moves considerably. I looked at the outside firewall and no crack. But inside the truck, above the top slave cylinder bolt, were there is a joint in the firewall, it looks kind of rusted and moves. Is this the typical firewall crack. I know you can buy two different kits, which one would I need, and what are the part numbers, I am assuming I need to get it from ford.
Thank You
Bill

Go right for the larger kit. Part number is E8TZ-7K509. I went through Fordparts.com and got a relatively good price of about 108.00 bucks. I just fixed my 87 with this kit last week and it turned out great with the clutch pedal action back to normal.

Yep, the small kit is preventative, the big kit is repair. If you want a copy of the TSB, PM me your email addy, or email me, I'll send it to you. www.fordparts.com was the best price I found, less than half what my local stealership wanted for it ($108 versus $238).
