Rob, I don't recal what kind of milage was on those, but I do remember Cops46 saying there was a lot of work by the PO done. Best to look up his old posts on TDS if they can still be accessed to trace the ancestry.

it runs!

got it all back together yesterday and fired it up. after fixing a couple fuel leaks took it for a ride. timing may be a little off. will adjust timing and change oil tonight. hope it starts this morning (for work:D), it's now 11 degrees outside.

more later when i have more time.

talk about post repair jitters.. i flinch like a dog who's been beaten each time i hit the starter button. that hydrolock sound stuck with me. all seems well though. put about 60 miles on her today, and now i'm off to check timing and change oil.

ROB:cheers:

Rob,
That's great news that she's up and running:Thumbs Up
That really means that it must be  time!
How'd your timing work out? Was wondering since I never used the meter kit on mine, only hooked it up to 12v to see if it functioned. You kinda ended up being my gineua pig:sorry: I've had that Rotunda kit for over a year now with the appropriate G/P probe, but I've never had the time to test it. Pretty -Lame huh?

I just measured my heads and stud lengths...compared to the stock bolts.

Both my heads are the same, and the studs thread into the block 7/8"(that's all the thread there is on the studs at the block end)

See the "other" site under the topic "studs vs. Heads"
